About The Position

Design, fabricate and/or assemble guards, tables, etc for plant production use. Should be able to weld various metals using MIG, TIG, and ARC methods. Can precisely use measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, calipers, dividers etc. Mock up using cardboard or other materials before consuming expensive materials on complicated part fabrication. Able to cut square and assemble properly to where there is no looseness or poorly assembled parts. All edges will be smoothed out and no sharp edges evident. Participate in project/process improvement teams. Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/SQF Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures. Basic math skills.Required Able to MIG, TIG, and ARC weld stainless steel primarily and other steel as needed. Able to read a ruler, dividers, calipers, and micrometers. Should be able to use metal shear, brake, and notcher. Drill press, band saw, Bridgeport mill, and other metal working machinery as needed. Can mock up a complicated machine guard, recreate an existing machine guard, and other metalworking projects with precision and flawless quality. Required Must be able to work with plastic sheeting to fabricate chutes, guards, and other projects as needed. Similar skills are needed just the same as metalworking.Required Welding- TIG, MIG, ARCRequired Manufacturing environment. Standing/ walking for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
