As a Fabricator at Schwing America, you’ll play a key role in crafting steel and aluminum parts from detailed drawings using a variety of tools and equipment.   • Fabricate steel and aluminum components based on engineering drawings
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as brakes, saws, radial drills, punch presses, and hand tools
  • Set up and run saws and drills at proper speeds and feeds
  • Program miters using the band saw
  • Operate press brake with correct dies and determine bend lines/tooling using bend allowances
  • Use grinders to deburr flame-cut parts
  • Safely move materials and parts using forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Operate barcode scanner/computer (SAP) to track labor time and pick materials
  • Inspect completed units to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with company guidelines
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting efforts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience using fabrication equipment
  • Proficient in using saws, brakes, punch presses, drills, and hand tools
  • Strong understanding of geometric measurements and fabrication math
  • Familiarity with sheet metal, tubing, piping, and structural shapes (angle, channels, bar, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Skilled in using material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes (2+ years preferred)
  • Computer literacy for referencing work instructions and tracking labor
