Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Proficient with metal fabrication tools
  • Skilled in various fabrication techniques such as welding, cutting, bending, and shaping
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this role. For some locations or clients, a REAL ID-compliant license may be necessary to gain access to secure facilities. If you do not currently have a REAL ID, we encourage you to apply—we can assist with next steps.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Experience with fencing and miscellaneous metals product offering.
  • Reads and comprehends shop drawings.
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets, plates, tubes, or structural shapes.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
  • Design and construct templates and fixtures or modify existing templates and fixtures to achieve desired results.
  • Cut, bend, roll, press, or otherwise form and assemble metal components to fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Weld, bolt, rivet, or otherwise join metal parts together to create final products or sub-assemblies.
  • Perform finishing operations such as grinding, polishing, and painting to improve the appearance and protect the surface of the fabricated parts.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries and accidents.
