About The Position

You will be the Fabricator / Painter for the Machining Operations Center (MOC). Our team is responsible for precision machining, component installation, chemical conversion coating, and painting. Requirements

Ability to apply finish protective coatings, spray guns and/or brushes, operates spray painting equip, optical bonding fabrication, injection molding machines, ablative processing equipment, tape-wrapper, autoclaves, bonding, mixes paints, lacquers.
Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 3x12 weekend "D" shift- as required in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

Technical school training in auto painting, precision masking/cutting operations.
5-8 years' experience as fabricator.

Responsibilities

Apply finish protective coatings using spray guns or brushes, both air‑dry and baked.
Operate sandblasting and tumble‑blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, and contaminants.
Mix, thin, and apply paints, lacquers, and enamels to meet color and performance standards.
Set up and run spray‑painting equipment, monitoring viscosity and ensuring consistent coverage.
Clean and prepare parts, including electro-plating cleaning and surface inspections.
