You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities through performing fabrication work for Aeronautical Accessories’ manufacturing department under general supervision.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of fabrication experience (i.e. sawing, sanding, trimming, routing, cleaning and bonding) with limited supervision.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and work orders.
  • Experience applying Measurements, Sheet Metal (Rivets), Torque, Safety Wire, Cotter Pins, Proseal application.
  • Familiarity and experience with measuring equipment and hand tools related to job duties.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE specific to job duties (may include respiratory equipment)
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and departmental equipment safely and efficiently in order to perform assigned job duties.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods during the entire duration of shift
  • Ability to operate computer, to include keyboard, mouse, and software related to job duties
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
  • Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust and odors, and various machine heat cycles

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ensure proper part identification and/or record S/N for plastics and windows manufactured.
  • Perform 1st piece inspection and detect/resolve errors.
  • Operate various machines in fabrication department when required, to include vacuum machine and ovens.
  • Assist with training of other employees as needed.
  • Interpret, create, and maintain process sheets as required.
  • Troubleshoot and solve routine problems as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
