The Fabricator II role is responsible for resistance welding and/or riveting parts according to prescribed methods and specifications. Additionally, this role serves as a quality checkpoint for the quality of welds and rivets. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment Resistance weld and/or rivet parts according to prescribed methods specifications Set up resistance welder to include selecting tips, post, arms, tooling, welder control settings, air pressure, etc. Inspect parts and quality of welds using a variety of measuring tools Perform rework operations as required Interpret orders and drawings to determine procedures and conduct work according to drawing specifications Work independently and along side others in the department Cross-train in various areas of the department and train new employees in the area Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must not be on a written or a final written warning (Internal Only) Employees must complete at least six months in their current role before becoming eligible to apply for another position, including the same role on a different shift. Exceptions may be made based on business need (Internal Only).
