Requirements

Ability to follow standard operating procedures as well as written and verbal orders and instructions in English.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Good physical condition (standing, bending, and climbing as well as upper body and back strength required).
Ability to follow all company policies and procedures, including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to comply with all safety regulations regarding the work area, the product and equipment.
Ability to recognize and report all safety discrepancies to your supervisor.
Willingness to develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of this field including products, options, and uses.
Willingness to gain experience in all phases of the specific Fabrication area to which an individual is assigned.
Ability to learn to operate all related equipment pertaining to the position.
Ability to learn to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions in order to fabricate specialty items or make them to a specific fit.
Ability to learn to MIG or TIG weld and other forms as a cross training measure.
Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees.
Willingness to share department and company knowledge as needed.

Responsibilities

Follow standard operating procedures as well as written and verbal orders and instructions in English.
Lift up to 50 lbs. and be in good physical condition.
Follow all company policies and procedures as stated in the company policy and safety manual including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Work overtime as needed.
Actively pursue cost reduction measures.
Perform all assigned tasks within specific time limits and company standards.
Comply with all safety regulations regarding the work area, the product and equipment.
Recognize and report all safety discrepancies to your supervisor.
Willing to develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of this field including products, options, and uses.
Willing to gain experience in all phases of the specific Fabrication area to which an individual is assigned.
Able to learn to operate all related equipment pertaining to the position.
Can learn to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions in order to fabricate specialty items or make them to a specific fit.
Possess ability to learn to MIG or TIG weld and other forms as a cross training measure.
Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees.
Willingness to share department and company knowledge as needed.
Sand and grind welds and/or parts.
Measuring and drilling.
Identify and place parts in designated areas.
Weld on a daily basis. This includes welding in small areas or in truck compartments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
