About The Position

The Fabricator (welder) of Commercial Windows is responsible for handling hollow metal doors and frames that weigh between 60 to 150 pounds. The role involves performing various fabrication tasks on these products, which include welding parts together, using power tools such as jigsaws to cut holes in doors and frames, and operating a 40-pound electric grinder to smooth out welds. Additionally, the position requires installing vision kits and glass in doors and using electric drills. The individual will read work orders and product templates to determine the necessary fabrication tasks to be performed, along with other relative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience
• Forklift certification preferred
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test
