Our cutting-edge Position Summary: Thompson Innovative Glass is seeking an ambitious Production Technician to join our Advanced Lamination Division. The successful candidate will support the production of sophisticated laminated glass products for use in the ballistic and forced entry markets. This position will offer the opportunity to problem solve and implement solutions that impact safety, quality, and efficiency. Ideal candidates will work in a small team of four members that collaborate in an empowered environment to produce life-saving products in a world-class production environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic math skills and understanding of production processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tasks and technologies.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude and goal-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Departmental Support: Move between departments to provide essential support and ensure efficient workflows. Assist in various production tasks, adapting to different roles and responsibilities as required. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for operational improvements and implement solutions.
  • Production Process Assistance: Participate actively in all stages of the Advanced Lamination process. Ensure compliance with quality standards by assisting in quality control checks and monitoring product specifications.
  • Equipment and Materials Handling: Operate and maintain production equipment under supervision, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance as needed. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to support production continuity. Help organize and maintain production areas to foster a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Crosstrain on various positions and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement training.
