About The Position

The Fab & Weld Production Supervisor is responsible for providing direct supervision to production employees in the Fab & Weld department including work scheduling and assignments, employee training, ensuring production quality and quantity requirements are met, evaluating staffing needs, communication, teambuilding, etc.

Requirements

  • Must possess thorough and relevant product knowledge of fabrication, forming, and welding.
  • High School Diploma/Associates Degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a supervisor required.
  • Relevant ERP system knowledge required.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering or field pertinent to the position is a plus.
  • Experience in the development of Work Standards is a plus.
  • Mentoring and coaching skills for personnel development.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a Behavior Based Safety Culture by influencing employees actions towards safer outcomes, ideally by preventing an accident or injury before it occurs.
  • Possess creativity/adaptability to successfully manage Department to effectively address changing business conditions and to achieve objectives.
  • Provide effective management of subordinates to achieve desired results. Attributes necessary to meet this need may include communications, motivation, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating, etc. skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Duties include normal personnel related activities such as monitoring attendance, enforcing work rules, administering pay increases, handling job transfers, determining overtime schedules, etc.
  • Position requires the constant and consistent exercise of intellect, judgment, and ability commensurate with technical positions in similar industries or situations.
  • Performs analysis and recommends continuous process improvements in manufacturing through monitoring and measurement for manufacturability and assure drawing falls within our capabilities
  • Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required.
  • Must be able to work in a high paced environment where on time delivery and customer satisfaction is key.
  • Supports, promotes, and performs in a manner consistent with Cleaver-Brooks values which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our internal systems.
  • All other duties as assigned by the leadership.
