Overview Job Summary Executes building and fabrication of steel, aluminum, plastic, and composite detail parts in accordance with established policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: Fabricate parts using press break, shears, hammers, punches, drills, and other fabrication tools and machinery. Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff parts using hand and power tools Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists Read blueprints, Engineering Change Orders and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required Utilize precision measurement tools for part fabrication and inspection Deburr, Sand, and inspect work pieces as required to meet product conformity Ensure conformance to specifications Clean parts, equipment, and production areas as required Maintain equipment Maintain a safe work environment and staying OSHA compliant with relevant safety training Mark parts for identification Other Duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection Has basic knowledge of cutting, drilling and repair work Regular scheduled attendance Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling – 0% Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Education & Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two or more years’ sheet metal machine experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools. Knowledge and experience reading blueprints Previous experience and knowledge of fabricating the following materials: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and assorted plastics.
