Executes building and fabrication of steel, aluminum, plastic, and composite detail parts in accordance with established policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements

  • Fabricate parts using press break, shears, hammers, punches, drills, and other fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff parts using hand and power tools
  • Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists
  • Read blueprints, Engineering Change Orders and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required
  • Utilize precision measurement tools for part fabrication and inspection
  • Deburr, Sand, and inspect work pieces as required to meet product conformity
  • Ensure conformance to specifications
  • Clean parts, equipment, and production areas as required
  • Maintain equipment
  • Maintain a safe work environment and staying OSHA compliant with relevant safety training
  • Mark parts for identification
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection
  • Has basic knowledge of cutting, drilling and repair work
  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two or more years’ sheet metal machine experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
  • Knowledge and experience reading blueprints
  • Previous experience and knowledge of fabricating the following materials: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and assorted plastics.
  • Good math skills
  • General mechanical skills
