About The Position

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the fabrication department, ensuring that workflow is maintained and production plans are executed effectively. This role involves monitoring personnel and resources, facilitating corrections to malfunctions, and fostering cooperation within and between departments. The supervisor will also enforce quality service standards, communicate job expectations, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Additionally, the supervisor will support key initiatives defined by the Safety Committee and assist with other projects as assigned by the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Technical Background (fabrication/machine-shop experience/assembly experience)
  • PC skills with MS Office suite
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Must tolerate long periods of standing
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and be date driven

Responsibilities

  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Executes the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Provides manufacturing information by answering questions and responding to requests
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Resolves personnel problems by investigating issues and by identifying and implementing solutions
  • Support all key initiatives as defined by the Safety Committee
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Assist with other projects as assigned by the Production Manager
