About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 3rd shift. Position Responsibilities: Blueprint Interpretation: Follow detailed verbal and written instructions and read and interpret moderately complex blueprint drawings and specifications to set up and machine items for fabricating out-of-sequence emergent production parts and fillers using both manual and CNC machines. Machine Control Data Development: Develop and revise Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry to ensure precision in fabrication processes. Collaboration: Assist fellow machinists in completing job responsibilities, fostering a collaborative work environment. Machining Tasks: Perform machine set-up, machining, deburring, and fabrication tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency. Complexity Management: Work on articles of limited complexity while adhering to established drawings and requirements. Certification Maintenance: Maintain all necessary certifications to perform job functions effectively and safely. Material Handling: Work with various materials, including aluminum, carbon fiber, and glass fiber, ensuring proper handling and machining techniques. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC) Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience
  • 1+ year of experience with CNC and/or manual machining experience
  • 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Willing and able to work 3rd shift
