We are seeking an energetic, self-driven individual who will play a key role in developing, building, and activating the fluid systems that power Starship's success.

  • Develop instrumentation and valve panel designs in 3D from schematics using Siemens NX
  • Create bills of material for your designs
  • Manage the production and manufacturing of instrumentation panels and high-pressure skids
  • Assist lead technicians in coordinating shop and field activity to support project schedules
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to effectively coordinate team activity with all trades
  • Develop robust solutions for raw material availability
  • Utilize internal SpaceX resources and external vendors as needed
  • Ensure launch assets are physically configured for upgrades and work areas are accessible by coordinating with launch pad and recovery vessel operations teams
  • Create and implement solutions for safe project site operations per SpaceX environmental health & Safety (EH&S) direction
  • Support project engineering team as needed with other project preparations and shop/field coordination
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) modeling or hands-on experience within a production or fabrication environment
  • Experience with Siemens NX or similar software
  • 5+ years of experience with instrumentation panel design and build
  • Computer numerical control (CNC) programming experience
  • Orbital tube welding experience
  • Full operational knowledge of high-pressure fluid transfer systems
  • Experience working with cryogenic systems
  • Experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving, and material flow
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong project management strategy
  • Ability to react quickly to change and over-communicate paths forward
