About The Position

The FAB Scaler position is responsible for managing the cattle processing workflow, ensuring that product orders are filled accurately and efficiently. This role involves coordinating with team members, documenting operational metrics, and maintaining quality control throughout the fabrication process.

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
• Strong documentation skills
• Attention to detail in tracking cattle grades and changes
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

• Familiarity with quality control processes

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and organize the make sheet with the cattle available to fill product orders
• Direct the Chain Feed Person to put the correct grade cattle on the chain and in the right amount
• Document all floor downtime by time lost, when, and reason
• Keep track of all product changes and notify affected supervisors of each product change
• Keep track and record all grade and program cattle changes
• Keep track of amount of cattle cut daily and record
• Verify and document start and shift end times
• Verify cattle temperatures coming into Fabrication and documentation
• Assure all cut codes are in the system correctly
• Complete all end of shift paperwork and verify is sent to interested parties
