About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Develop project takeoffs for weld count and materials. Develop bid packages for the materials required to fabricate the project and work with outside vendors to price materials and services. Develop piece drawings and weld maps to include heat number tracing and welds Design hydrostatic tests and supervise testing to include maintenance of test gauge calibration. Maintain all required code paperwork for each project Be open and able to travel to project sites to assist in the startup of fabricated equipment. Prepare purchase orders to successful vendors. Review project plan and schedule changes; recommend actions to ensure project stays on-time and on-budget while meeting client specifications. Ensure project compliance with appropriate government regulations, safety rules, and company and client policies. Experience with Automation, Controls, and Power Systems is a plus, but not required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree. 2-4 years’ experience Basic knowledge of construction, industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195) preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree.
  • 2-4 years’ experience
  • Basic knowledge of construction, industry codes and standards

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Automation, Controls, and Power Systems
  • ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195) preferred but not required.
