About The Position

The position involves operating fabrication machines under supervision, performing simple operations to learn and assist operators. Responsibilities include removing burrs and sharp edges from parts using various grinding and sanding equipment, cleaning and balancing tools, and preparing parts for processing. The role also requires setting up and operating numbering machines for part identification, performing rework, and assisting skilled workers with manual tasks. The job requires adherence to shop orders and blueprints, and the ability to work any shift is mandatory.

Requirements

• Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
• Basic computer operations.
• Must be a US Citizen for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operates fabrication machines under supervision after setups are made.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, and cracks from parts using power-driven equipment.
• Cleans, washes, dries, and masks parts and assemblies.
• Loads and unloads processing baskets and equipment.
• Sets up and operates numbering machines for part identification.
• Performs rework of operations as needed.
• Makes table setups for fabrication operations.
• Identifies, numbers, tags, and wraps parts.
• Counts and checks parts for conformance to specifications.
• Performs routine manual tasks and assists skilled workers.
