Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly required.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and measuring tools.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a team-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sheet metal, carpentry, or house framing is highly transferable.
  • Welding certification is a plus.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience with sheet metal welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to determine job specifications.
  • Gather materials and perform layout work in preparation for welding and assembly.
  • Set up and operate welding machines; adjust settings as needed for material type (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper).
  • Weld parts together using appropriate welding techniques; inspect welds for quality and rework as needed.
  • Assemble housing components such as wall panels using drills, torque wrenches, and other hand tools.
  • Work with sheet metal to fabricate precise and durable assemblies.
  • Operate cutting torches, manual plasma cutters, buffers, and grinders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with coworkers to meet production goals and continuously improve processes.
