About The Position

The Fabrication Operator uses tube fabrication equipment such as saws, swagers, bending machines, and drills to process material in a way that meets customer specifications. Precise attention to detail and strict adherence to safety and quality standards are an absolute must in this position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, interpret, and use tape measure and other tube fabrication equipment
Good verbal and written communication skills

Mechanical comprehension
Ability to work in a warehouse facility within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated/unheated and periodically noisy

Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed
Required to wear proper PPE at all times in warehouse
Willing to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Operate various types of fabrication equipment in a job shop atmosphere
Record accurate information for all production orders
Keep work area clean throughout the day
Report any quality-related problems to the Supervisor for resolution
Provide cross training to others and be cross trained elsewhere as needed
Attend all scheduled company & safety meetings
Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times
Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors
Report any equipment problems to the Supervisor for immediate repair or schedule for repair
