About The Position
We are seeking a Fabrication Inspector 1. The Fabrication Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that manufactured components meet stringent quality and safety standards before they proceed to the next stage of production or delivery. This position involves meticulous examination of fabricated parts using precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy and surface integrity. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment performing dimensional and surface inspections.
- Experience in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with manufacturing quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Previous experience in optical fabrication or manufacturing industries.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed dimensional inspections of fabricated components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct thorough surface inspections to detect defects such as scratches, digs, or surface irregularities that could affect product performance.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain comprehensive records to support quality assurance and traceability requirements.
- Collaborate with fabrication and engineering teams to communicate inspection findings and assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards throughout the inspection process.
