About The Position

The nLogic team is seeking a Fabrication Design Engineer to join our team in the Huntsville, AL area. The qualified applicant will become part of Space Launch System (SLS) program. The position will be full-time on site in an avionics lab.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree and 5+ years of experience or a higher degree with work experience
• This position requires the ability to obtain a Customer/NASA background check for which requires US Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in applied sciences.
• The applicant should have experience working in a lab environment with planning and progress/performance reporting experience
• The successful applicant must have strong communication skills, and are capable of working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple activates concurrently.
• The applicant must be capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Secret clearance is not required; however, candidate must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• The candidate must be familiar with the design and fabrication of HW test equipment as it pertains to lab use. This includes the use of COTS equipment where applicable.
• The candidate must be familiar with setting up a HW/SW lab.
• The candidate will coordinate cradle to grave fabrication activities. This includes collecting requirements, drawing releases, ordering parts, fabrication of lab equipment and racks, cabling, testing of equipment, and certifying lab for use.
• The candidate must be familiar with creating and controlling drawings.
• The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
