Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) modeling or hands-on experience within a production or fabrication environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Siemens NX or similar software
- 5+ years of experience with instrumentation panel design and build
- Computer numerical control (CNC) programming experience
- Orbital tube welding experience
- Full operational knowledge of high-pressure fluid transfer systems
- Experience working with cryogenic systems
- Experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving, and material flow
- Ability to demonstrate a strong project management strategy
- Ability to react quickly to change and over-communicate paths forward
Responsibilities
- Develop instrumentation and valve panel designs in 3D from schematics using Siemens NX
- Create bills of material for your designs
- Manage the production and manufacturing of instrumentation panels and high-pressure skids
- Assist lead technicians in coordinating shop and field activity to support project schedules
- Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and ability to effectively coordinate team activity with all trades
- Develop robust solutions for raw material availability
- Utilize internal SpaceX resources and external vendors as needed
- Ensure launch assets are physically configured for upgrades and work areas are accessible by coordinating with launch pad and recovery vessel operations teams
- Create and implement solutions for safe project site operations per SpaceX environmental health & Safety (EH&S) direction
- Support project engineering team as needed with other project preparations and shop/field coordination
