Requirements

Previous warehousing, manufacturing, or machine shop experience
3–6 months of fabrication experience
Ability to work 10–12-hour rotational shifts as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally more as necessary)
Ability to accurately read a tape measure

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year of training and/or experience in metal fabrication
Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
MIG welding experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
Proficiency with hand tools

Responsibilities

Build and fabricate safety guarding components
Fabricate samples for Research & Development and special projects
Assist in the fabrication of structural and sheet metal products
Lift, position, and remove workpieces from machines to assist in fitting
Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work-in-process materials by hand or truck
Clean and scrape metal in preparation for fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping
Cut material using saw cutting machines
Operate punching machines
Support general fabrication and shop activities
Perform other duties as assigned (job responsibilities may be modified as needed)
