Requirements

  • Previous warehousing, manufacturing, or machine shop experience
  • 3–6 months of fabrication experience
  • Ability to work 10–12-hour rotational shifts as needed, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally more as necessary)
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of training and/or experience in metal fabrication
  • Previous experience working for a manufacturing company
  • MIG welding experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Proficiency with hand tools

Responsibilities

  • Build and fabricate safety guarding components
  • Fabricate samples for Research & Development and special projects
  • Assist in the fabrication of structural and sheet metal products
  • Lift, position, and remove workpieces from machines to assist in fitting
  • Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work-in-process materials by hand or truck
  • Clean and scrape metal in preparation for fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping
  • Cut material using saw cutting machines
  • Operate punching machines
  • Support general fabrication and shop activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned (job responsibilities may be modified as needed)
