About The Position

Sandvik Mining has an opening for a Fabrication 1 in Brier Hill, PA! The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling. In this key role, the Fabrication 1 is responsible for cleaning, grinding, cutting, welding, repairing components from aftermarket equipment as well as fabricating new parts from engineered specifications or customer direction. Fabrication repair processes include: Oxy/ fuel cutting techniques All position welding Engineered drawing interpretation Must be capable to progress from this basic level to advanced levels requiring minimal supervision Works overtime/weekends as required Upholds safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements Working in a team setting with the ability to convey and receive ideas/suggestions in a positive way The flexibility to do shift work is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry-specific equipment
• Technical diploma or certification in welding
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team
• Self-motivated
• Effective customer relations
• Active listening skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
