About The Position

Requirements

• Proficiency in various types of welding such as MIG, TIG, and stick.
• Knowledge and use of oxy acetylene torch and plasma cutter.
• Strong math skills.
• Computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AUTOCAD.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Design, weld, and fabricate new and existing equipment, parts, and tools.
• Maintain all welding and fabrication equipment and supplies.
• Build, create, and design equipment based on orders received.
• Use welding and other fabrication equipment to fabricate equipment as needed.
• Maintain testing requirements as set forth by the supervisor.
• Utilize Simmons Hot Works Program as needed.
• Participate as a member of the team, fostering strong cohesiveness and communication.
• Attend appropriate team meetings and contribute to team concepts and policies.
• Identify areas lacking cohesiveness and work with the team to resolve issues.
• Support business objectives by performing other necessary duties.
