About The Position

Fabricated Project Buyer with Fameccanica North America in West Chester, OH Do you excel at building strong supplier relationships? If so, we ’ d love to talk with you! We’re seeking a Fabricated Project Buyer to join our collaborative team in West Chester, Ohio. In this role, you will support ongoing production needs by executing procurement activities, evaluating suppliers, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials critical to our operations. You’ll work autonomously while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to keep projects and purchasing activities on track.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience purchasing fabricated parts.
• At least 3 years of experience purchasing industrial or technical goods.
• Strong ERP experience; SAP highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, assemblies).
• Willingness to travel up to 15% to support sourcing activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute and follow up on purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with U.S. laws (including import/export) and internal procedures.
• Review purchase requisitions and generated purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices as needed.
• Coordinate supplier visits and host supplier representatives as required.
• Track and evaluate supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery; recommend and support improvement initiatives.
• Process and monitor claims or issues involving suppliers, ensuring timely resolution.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential new suppliers; support qualification activities in line with company standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely data within the company ERP system.
• Collaborate with the Design Department to identify and select domestic suppliers for commercial components and fabricated parts.
