About The Position

Join our team as a Fabricated Fittings Technician, where you’ll play a hands‑on role in producing high‑quality components that support our manufacturing operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, or in process of completion with a minimum of six months of manufacturing or production experience, including Prinsco experience.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
  • Using hands and reaching with hands/arms for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for over 2/3 of the workday.
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a loud noise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate high‑quality standard and custom fittings using engineering drawings and a variety of equipment with different sizes and levels of complexity.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and verbal instructions to determine precise dimensions while maintaining Prinsco’s quality standards.
  • Operate power tools safely and efficiently, including band saws, extrusion welders, and radial arm drills.
  • Use a forklift to transport materials and completed products to designated locations.
  • Collaborate with experienced team members to ensure accurate production and problem‑solving.
  • Inspect finished products to verify they meet Prinsco quality requirements, promptly identifying and reporting defects or equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time production reporting as required.
  • Support and assist teammates across the department when needed.
  • Participate in cross‑training and continuous learning, developing skills in machine operation, computer systems, and documentation.
  • Engage actively in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance processes and productivity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and production goals.
