Lays out, fits, and heat welds fabric pieces together. Fabric Welder I – Entry Level Responsibilities: Responsible for heat welding tasks as assigned by department manager. Can read and understand work orders, sales orders, and drawings. Responsible for the equipment care and proper machine settings to optimize the heat welding function. Report to the department manager any nonconformance of components and/or machine malfunction characteristics. Completion of daily record which documents completed work tasks. Responsible for utilizing set-up assistant to optimize welding task, which includes gathering parts and components for required assemblies as assigned by crew leader. Fabric Welder II – Skilled Level Responsibilities: Must meet all level 1 requirements Must be trained on at least one other machine within the tarp fab department Fabric Welder III – Advanced Level/ Lead Position Responsibilities: Must meet all level 1 requirements Must meet all level 2 requirements Must be trained on at least 2 other machines within the tarp fab department Comfortable giving direction and or leading Peers. Shows interest in learning additional skills. Shows good decision-making skills without supervision. Great people skills Fabric Welder – Lead Position Responsibilities: Must meet all level 1 requirements Must meet all level 2 requirements Must meet all level 3 requirements Exhibits strong potential for advancement into a leadership role within the company. Possesses at least 4 of the below skills and has the ability to be trained/coached in further leadership skills. Skill set includes: Clear and Direct Communication: They consistently communicate instructions and information effectively, ensuring team clarity. Active Listening: They demonstrate openness to feedback and make efforts to incorporate suggestions, fostering continuous improvement.
