JOB TITLE: Nonwovens Fabric Manager FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT REPORTS TO: Site Leader SUMMARY: Plans, directs and controls all activities of the Fabric department operation, consisting of a variety of needle punch and structuring lines with approx. 80-100 associates and a 24/7 operation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Integrate with Senior Leadership team participating in overall Business Strategy development Drives profitable growth Dynamic leader who can act as a change agent on our LEAN journey Ensures fabric operation is acting with synergy within the total site Develops metrics consistent with business performance objectives Accountable and responsible for Safety, Quality and Productivity Staffing: Hiring/Training/Retention responsibilities Troubleshooting equipment and production issues Leading departmental meetings and presentations EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and JD Edwards Strong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmetic Ability to read and interpret complex documentation Previous leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment Extensive Leadership background is highly valued 10 years Needle punch nonwovens experience Capital expenditure and project management experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The performance of this position may require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Standard work hours will be 7am – 4pm. Nights and/or weekend coverage is probable. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and JD Edwards
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmetic
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documentation
  • Previous leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • 10 years Needle punch nonwovens experience
  • Capital expenditure and project management experience
