About The Position

Ensure material received is accurately counted and documented noting any discrepancies and to deliver material to the appropriate department.

Requirements

  • 3+ years receiving experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be fast paced.
  • Must be able to use a computer and handheld scanner.
  • Must have good vision.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in furniture manufacturing,
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Assists Fabric and Leather Receiving Leads with coordination and receipt of all fabric and leather materials.
  • Supports Fabric and Leather Receiving Leads as back up when out of office.
  • Assists with completing necessary paperwork related to receiving materials and turning paperwork into Receiving Supervisor.
  • Assists with periodic Fabric and Leather Inventory reconciliation as needed.
  • Forklift Certified to relocate pallets and horses on shop floor as needed.
  • Keep the work area neat and organized.
  • Works with the receiving supervisor and the cutting supervisor.
  • Works closely with purchasing and inventory control.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
