About The Position

BRT Extrusions in Niles, OH is hiring Day Shift Fabrication Utility Workers for our growing team. BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is interviewing for general labor utility workers to join our expanding Fabrication department. This is a full-time position, and overtime may be required as business needs change. BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company, and as we grow, our employees will grow as well. The company offers firsthand training, wage increases for cross training completion, and yearly merit increases. There is a newly created training department, offering formal onboarding and new hire hands-on training. BRT promotes from within for many positions. Commitment to scheduled and on-time work is required.

Requirements

Should know how to read a Tape Measure or can be trained/coached to learn how to read measurements.
Should have average math skills as this position loads material into racks/bundles in sets and rows.
Follow and comply with all Fabrication processes and procedures.
Comply with Company policies including, but not limited, to all safety policies.
Must maintain good attendance and commit to your schedule.
Must be 18 years of age to work in the plant.
Must have ability to read and understand basic instructions in English.
Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
Must be flexible, daily responsibilities may change per production needs.
Must be willing to participate in all required job and or employment related trainings. This includes but is not limited to all safety and technical or role or tool specific trainings.

Nice To Haves

1 Year manufacturing experience with good attendance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Push empty and full racks of metal to workstation and holding area.
Assist with placing metal into a fabrication machine that will punch appropriate size holes per customer requirements.
Lift and transfer metal product into or out of a rack or bundle with a partner.
Move metal into machine at a consistent pace to meet productivity requirements.
Transfer and cloth interweave OSP (Outside Processing) material into racks.
Package material into bundles per customer requirements.
Use basic hand tools and automatic or manual banding equipment.
May be asked to work as a Utility Worker in other departments as needed and perform all duties and responsibilities.
