About The Position

Supervisor for the 1st shift fabrication department.

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years' background experience in packing house (beef preferred).
• Knowledge of products and their specifications is essential.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to motivate workers.
• Bilingual important, but not mandatory as long as translators are in line area.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a group of employees within a safe and professional setting.
• Insuring proper communication and feedback between their team and upper management.
• Guiding their team through daily tasks and monitoring their performance to ensure maximum productivity.
• Meeting product specifications, quality, yields, and following the production schedule.
• Working with trainers with onboarding of new hires to ensure they understand their roles.
• Ensuring area is properly staffed according to department's crewing standards to meet production needs.
• Keeping up with all weekly meetings, monthly safety meetings, and all yearly trainings required by JBS for their team.
• Job performance will be measured by the Superintendents and General Foreman based on KPI's.
• Understanding and adhering to all company and union regulations in regard to hourly employees.
• Attending daily supervisor meetings.
• Completing all audits, safety/PPE checks, and touch and goes as required by JBS.
• Directly responsible for discipline procedures with hourly employees on the line, which may range from verbal warnings to terminations.
