About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator - 2nd Shift to join our team. The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The FAB Machine Operator will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery. In this function you will: A. Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations B. Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor C. Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines D. Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts E. Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings F. Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions G. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation H. Inspect final component against work specifications I. Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment J. Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment K. Provide on-the-job training for new Operators L. Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily M. Complete any other assigned tasks from management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
  • Experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures.
  • Experience reading blueprints.

  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Machining Certificate
  • Previous experience in Fabrication
  • DMM experience
