About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor of STEAM Education, the Fab Lab Summer Camp Group Leader is responsible for implementing daily camp activities at the Fab Lab Center while ensuring a safe, fun, and creative learning environment for all campers. The camps will run Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, from June 16 – August 21. The Fab Lab Summer Camp Group Leader must possess knowledge of and experience with STEAM topics, such as coding and robotics, engineering and design, arts, electronics and circuitry, 3D printing, stop motion video, and/or Minecraft. Applicants are required to commit to at least 2 weeks of camp as well as 2 hours per week of preparation to review the plans for the week of camp. Applicants are also required to attend a two-hour training prior to the start of the summer camp. The Fab Lab Center is the hub for STEAM education in Bucks County and will be offering 9 exciting, unique, and FUN weeks of Summer Camp for children entering grades 1 through 7 in the Fall of 2026. Requirements

  • PA Level I or Level II Elementary or STEAM Content-Area Certification is .
  • Knowledge of STEAM Education is required.
  • Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.

  • Experience teaching engineering, robotics, and/ or STEAM topics is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement a daily summer camp schedule of activities for children as designated by the Supervisor of STEAM Education.
  • Organize and deliver innovative, engaging, STEAM-oriented instruction for both small and large groups of students in a camp setting.
  • Practice active supervision of campers to ensure safety and general well-being of all campers.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all camp participants – attendance, dietary restrictions, and medical information.
  • Be a positive ambassador for the Bucks IU and the Fab Lab Center.
  • Work collaboratively with Summer Camp staff and student volunteers.
  • Understand and implement all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
  • Ensure the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the Fab Lab Center .
  • Model and maintain exemplary punctuality and attendance.
