About The Position

Program Manager shall be the single point of contact for all FAA UPS IDIQ requirements. The Program Manager has responsibility for control and coordination of all work performed and shall interface with contracts as necessary. Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed solutions to meet customer requirements. Understand the company's and competitor's strengths and weaknesses. Delegate portions of projects to others under his/her influence as assigned. Maintain oversight of Project Control Engineers and Project Coordinators. Communicate to supervisor/manager/key stakeholders regularly on work progress, cost, risk, scope redirection needs and stay in collaboration with all key stakeholders. Manage support and customer interface as needed to address customer and technical issues and resolutions. Maintain effective relationships with and service to customers. Identify and assist in development of prospective revenue opportunities. UPS IDIQ Program Manager is directly responsible for all FAA proposals. Manage projects to maximize margins and minimize risk to the division. UPS IDIQ Program Manager is required to have excellent financial skills to understand the financial impact of projects, risk, etc. Should have or develop knowledge of our internal accounting / operating systems, at a minimum Oracle and Qlik view reporting. A practical understanding of accounting principles, invoicing, and P&L is required. Required to have excellent communications skills. Computer usage is required and excellent written communications is mandatory, including monthly reporting, reports to customers, internal documents, etc. Keep current on trends and significant issues in the FAA providing direction for the strategic planning process. Contribute to the product/process improvement initiatives. Bachelor's Degree required, engineering degree and/or MBA preferred. Three to five years of experience in managing and leading a service or engineering unit or three to five years project management experience in another field. Three to five years of experience in support of government contracts. Working knowledge of power distribution, uninterruptible power systems and control products as well as field service practices and procedures, employee relations and quality programs. Candidates must be located within 50 miles of Raleigh NC to be considered. No relocation offered. Active military candidates are exempt from this requirement. Must demonstrate skills in communicating technical information to non-technical personnel, educating customers, and presenting information to internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints. Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage a fiscal entity. Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives, engineers, and technicians. Must have strong troubleshooting skills; able to work in a cross-functional/matrix organization. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment and be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Practical understanding of accounting principles and P&L. Working knowledge of Warehouse/Depot operations.
