About The Position

Parsons is seeking professionals with expertise in short-to-medium range radar and FAA surveillance systems to support the modernization and sustainment of the National Airspace System (NAS). Candidates may be considered at the Mid, Senior, or Lead level depending on experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with short-to-medium range radar systems (design, integration, testing, or operations).
  • Ability to conduct performance analysis and provide technical recommendations.
  • Strong technical contributor within a team environment.
  • 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting FAA programs or equivalent large-scale federal radar/surveillance systems.
  • 15–20+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • In-depth expertise with FAA surveillance systems (ASR, SMR, SAI, Alaska-based systems).
  • Recognized subject matter authority advising FAA leadership on system architecture, modernization, and lifecycle support.
  • Proven leadership of large technical teams and/or support to enterprise-scale organizations (1000+ personnel).
  • Ability to shape technical direction, guide program execution, and represent Parsons at the FAA enterprise level

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FAA systems such as ASR, SMR, SAI, and/or Alaska-based Surveillance systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Proven experience preparing technical reports, analysis, and stakeholder briefings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on radar system design, integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
  • Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
  • Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to align with mission objectives.
  • Deliver technical reports, recommendations, and briefings to FAA leadership.
  • Lead or contribute to engineering initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability of FAA surveillance operations.
