About The Position

The Assembler 2 position performs disassembly, assembly, re-work, and minimum testing of various electrical/electronic equipment.

Requirements

  • Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in an electronics/manufacturing environment or completed OJT training for at least 5 products
  • Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
  • Proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned
  • Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun
  • Lift and Carry up to 30lbs
  • Able and willing to comply with Drug-Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings
  • Able to perform complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operation
  • Capable of solving problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
  • Skilled at simple welding tasks and/or brazing, or soldering
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Candidate must pass a hands-on assessment to be moved to the in-person interview stage of the recruitment process. Candidates unable to pass the assessment will not move forward in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard
  • Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires, prepare batteries, Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct and/or limited supervision
  • Perform a variety of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
  • Conduct inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation adhering to 6S standards
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and safety record
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Additional job duties and tasks as needed
  • Assist other departments with job duties, tasks, training, and development as needed
  • Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by Lead Tech / Supervisor
