About The Position

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a part time mid-level cloud application developer/engineer to join our FAA team. This position will perform gap and functional analyses of proposed NOTAM applications and then design and develop applications for testing on the FAA’s research cloud environment.

Requirements

Experience with multiple cloud environments and programming languages.
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying successful applications for a variety of purposes and user groups.

Nice To Haves

Experience developing applications for FAA systems/users/environments.
Experience with the FAA NOTAM System.
Experience developing or maintaining applications in the FAA’s Research & Development Operation Environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using programming languages and tools such as Java, Python, and AWS services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, test, and deploy applications in a timely and efficient manner.
Design and develop application architecture, choosing appropriate cloud services and infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high performance.
Debug and troubleshoot issues throughout the software development life cycle, including identifying and fixing bugs, optimizing code, and addressing security vulnerabilities.
Document code, best practices, and application workflows to ensure knowledge management and maintainability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality.
Keep up to date with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends to identify new opportunities for enhancing existing applications and developing new ones.
Follow industry-standard development methodologies, including agile, to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality of code.
Clearly communicate technical solutions and progress to non-technical stakeholders to ensure prompt and effective decision-making.
