About The Position

Farmingdale State College is looking to hire part-time FAA Aircraft Maintenance Technicians. The chosen candidates will be responsible for the following: Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools. Check for corrosion, distortion, and invisible cracks in the fuselage, wings, and tail, using inspection equipment. Clean, refuel, and change oil in line service aircraft. Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations. Disassemble engines, and inspect parts such as cylinders for corrosion, wear, warping, cracks, and leaks. Examine and inspect aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and de-icers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems. Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces. Requirements

  • Must have Airframe and power plant License.
  • Flexible hours and weekend work.
