About The Position

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a F5 Load Balancer SME who will support a position in Herdon, VA.

Requirements

• Clearance TS/SCI Willing to get a Counter Intelligence Polygraph
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience networking
• Certifications: Security plus
• Deep understanding of F5 BIG-IP platforms, including LTM, GTM, iRules, iControls, and features like OneConnect, persistence, and SSL offloading.
• Experience with firewall configurations, DDOS Migration, and integration with security tools

Responsibilities

• Setting up and configuring F5 BIG-IP systems, including virtual servers, pools, health monitors, iRules (F5's scripting language), and profiles (e.g., HTTP, TCP, SSL).
• Implementing load balancing algorithms (static and dynamic) to distribute network traffic across multiple servers for scalability and reliability.
• Managing features like SSL offloading, session persistence, and traffic shaping to optimize application performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to F5 load balancer configurations, traffic flow, and application delivery.
• Monitoring and analyzing network alarms, performance metrics, and logs to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Enhancing application security by leveraging F5 features like DDoS protection, traffic redirection, and integration with threat intelligence feeds.
