Boeing Global Services is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Multi-Family Manager to join their team in Belle Chase, LA. This position will focus on Global Technical Operations statements of work supporting F18 Kuwait Pilot Training, Operational Maintenance Support, and Technical Change Order (TCO) incorporation in partnership with BDS and PMA-265 (USN). A successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day execution of the Boeing Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry and Department of Defense (DOD) standards at JRB NOLA, LA. Purview will also extend to adjacent Stennis, MS base where aircraft preservation is being performed by Tyonek LLC.

  • Manages, develops, and motivates a team of Logistics and Records specialists and Quality Systems Specialists to deliver first-time quality (FTQ) process and products and ensure aircraft and product safety throughout day-to-day operations.
  • Develops and maintains strategic and tactical partnerships with customers, stakeholders, partners, peers, and direct reports.
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
  • Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team.
  • Analyzes hiring results, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance.
  • Assists senior manager in the development and execution of process plans and procedures and sets operational goals relative to field operations quality assurance.
  • Partners with Operations, Engineering, Government Ground Representative (GGR), PMA-265, Tyonek LLC., and HR to execute on statement of work to meet customer and program expectations.
  • Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way.
  • Manages a group of roughly 12-14 direct reports.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • 5+ years of experience working with aerospace industry specifications and standards, part and/or process requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintaining aircraft documentation in operational environment.
  • 1+ years’ experience creating and processing shipping documentation (e.g. TSA, DD250, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Instruction 8210.1.
  • Quality Auditing/Assessing.
  • Risk Management.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Safety Management System (SMS) knowledge.
  • Strong focus on Aviation Safety.
  • Strong focus on FOD/Tool Control management.
  • Knowledge of formal RCCA with Human Factors application.
  • Ability to work with DOD (PMA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) customers.
