About The Position

This position is for F-16 forward fuselage assembly, component installation and operational checkout Section, Production Lead. This is a working Lead Position. Lead will be required to spend the majority of their time working on the product. In addition to standard job description tasks, the Production Lead will be responsible for providing status of work documents and work accomplished in their work area. The Production Lead will be required to interface with multiple functional organizations, in addition to the managers/supervisor and crew to resolve issues or constraints in the aircraft assembly/production environment. Instill product disciplines to align with Production imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous materials, adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling, clean as you go, housekeeping and Tool & FOD control. Duties include but not limited to: -Open/Close toolboxes by verifying accurate inventory of tools and documenting applicable logs. -Ensure team members have properly put away tools, parts, and consumables at end of shift. -Assist supervisors with product discipline, housekeeping, HAZMAT accountability and 6S lean manufacturing initiatives/compliance. -Train assigned mechanics in all aspects of the aircraft component build. The candidate will be required to support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, advise on continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements. The Production Lead will be required to maintain certifications and qualifications to perform production tasks and other duties as assigned by leadership. This position requires working knowledge and skills in hydraulic system installations, air pressure systems and testing. Lead must be skilled in avionics operation, electrical harness fabrication, routing, and electrical testing. Candidate must be able to successfully pass electrical crimp, solder/wafer, hot air sleeve, and ethernet, training. Requirements

  • Candidate must have 6 years experience relative to aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, & Overhaul on fighter and/or commercial Aircraft.
  • Candidate must have been previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, Navy, or Army 7-level discipline skill rating in an aircraft maintenance related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Possess an Airframe and/or Powerplant License, and/or 4 to 8 years of equivalent experience.
  • Candidate must be willing to work 4x10A Monday-Thursday 2nd Shift
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of operational Avionics experience.
  • 4 years experience in Electrical harness fabrication, route and install.
  • 4 years experience in Pneumatic and oxygen system tubing handling.
  • FCC Certifications or equivalent civilian experience with associated training credentials such as formal military training certificates or manufacturer training credentials.
