About The Position

The Member Service Counselor I at Eglin Federal Credit Union is responsible for advising members on various share and loan services, assisting with account applications, and ensuring the completeness of loan applications. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of Credit Union or other loan experience.
• Satisfactory credit history and bondable status.
• Ability to type, use an adding machine, and operate a PC with Windows.

Responsibilities

• Advise members and potential members on share and loan services offered.
• Complete applications for New Accounts and Share Certificates.
• Assist members with the completion of Credit Applications for loan requests and loan change agreements.
• Obtain member balances and ensure loan applications and supporting documents are complete.
• Report any information that could affect the loan decision to the approving officer.
• Explain the benefits of individual or joint credit to members.
• Conduct closings on completed loans, ensuring members understand all terms and conditions.
