About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and execution of food & beverage operations at Bar Run Golf. This role oversees kitchen and front-of-house operations, ensuring consistent quality, efficient execution, and an elevated guest experience across daily service and special events. The F&B Manager partners closely with the General Manager and Events team to drive operational excellence while maintaining budgetary and performance standards. What you’ll do: The Brass Tacks Kitchen & Culinary Oversight Expectations Oversees the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, sanitation, and consistency meet established standards Partners with kitchen leadership and team members to support execution, workflow, and preparation standards Communicates regularly with the General Manager regarding operational updates, changes, and needs Leads with strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrates integrity, accountability, and sound business judgment Reviews production plans and supports appropriate prep levels and staffing needs Maintains standards for food quality, presentation, handling, sanitation, and safety in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Conducts regular walk-throughs of kitchen, storage, and prep areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, rotation, and proper usage Utilizes specification sheets and par levels to support ordering, inventory, and waste management Oversees menu execution and presentation standards for all outlets and events Supports menu development and refreshes in partnership with ownership and operational leadership Ensures timely follow-through on guest, client, and team member requests Assists with hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management of kitchen team members Monitors food and labor costs and adjusts schedules and purchasing to align with business demands Ensures compliance with food safety standards, grooming expectations, and uniform requirements Note: While this role does not require acting as a working chef, prior cooking experience is important to effectively lead, coach, and support kitchen operations. Food & Beverage Operations Expectations Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with ownership, team members, and cross-functional partners Partners with the Golf Head Professional and Sales & Events Coordinator to support catering menus and event execution for tournaments, weddings, member events, and group functions Ensures coordination, preparation, and delivery of food and beverage services for all events Supports the Sales & Events Coordinator with staffing plans, supplies, and execution aligned with BEOs and agreements Attends and co-chairs Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings as needed Manages daily F&B operations to ensure quality standards and guest expectations are consistently met Coaches and supports team members to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction Leads by example in guest relations and service recovery Handles escalated guest concerns and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner Supports ongoing training related to menu knowledge, service standards, and guest expectations Assists with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of F&B team members Participates in performance reviews and provides regular feedback and development support Encourages open communication and solicits team member feedback to drive engagement and improvement Attends and participates in all required meetings The Nitty Gritty 4+ years of experience in the food & beverage industry, including hands-on cooking experience 2+ years of experience in a Food & Beverage leadership or management role in a similar environment Culinary education or equivalent industry training preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of employment laws, food safety standards, and industry regulations Proven conflict management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related systems Professional, approachable, and enthusiastic leadership style Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and punctual Required State Food Handler’s License(s) and Alcohol Serving Permit Don’t meet every single requirement? Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in the food & beverage industry, including hands-on cooking experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a Food & Beverage leadership or management role in a similar environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws, food safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Proven conflict management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related systems
  • Professional, approachable, and enthusiastic leadership style
  • Detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and punctual
  • Required State Food Handler’s License(s) and Alcohol Serving Permit
