About The Position

The F&B Lead of Garrison Oak is responsible for assisting the Manager of Food and Beverage at Garrison Oak Steakhouse in directing the work of the front-of-house staff and providing oversight of operations in the manager's absence. Requirements

  • One to two years of high-volume table-service dining experience required.
  • One to two years of bartending experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of wine and liquor required.
  • Extensive training background in a fast-paced front-of-house team setting.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Nice To Haves

  • Fine dining (AAA 4 Diamond / Forbes 4 Star) service preferred.
  • Knowledge of menu development, costing, labor management, food trends, and service, as well as overall restaurant operations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily functions of the front-of-house operations of the Garrison Oak Steakhouse and Lobby Bar.
  • Ensure that the service culture is ingrained in every guest interaction through delivering proper training and coaching to the front-of-house staff.
  • Possess knowledge in every Front of House position and can work each position fluently when necessary.
  • Ensure the room is staffed properly; otherwise, jump in to support team members where necessary.
  • Perform responsible alcohol service concerning patron limitations and passing any/all responsible alcohol service training.
  • Assist room manager with daily shift report and closing duties including service staff tip reports and service recoveries.
  • Train new team members in their role and provide ongoing training/coaching support to tenured team members.
  • Provide the highest level of service at all times and the best-in-class dining experience to guests.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction through table visits and interactions with guests.
  • Address any food/beverage or service-related guest issues and utilize creativity and resources available to maintain optimum satisfaction.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness in the steakhouse according to health department standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
