About The Position

The F&B Bartender at Odawa Casino Resort provides upbeat, positive, friendly, and excellent service to every guest who approaches the bar, dining, or deli area while preparing and pouring drinks, serving food, and placing food orders for guests. The role requires conducting oneself in a professional manner, anticipating guest needs, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The bartender will also be responsible for operating a cash register, ensuring financial integrity, and adhering to health codes and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of one (1) year bartending or working in the service industry.
• Must be able to anticipate customer needs and expectations.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must complete TIPS training and certification within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements such as significant lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be flexible with shifts and days off, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain a key gaming license in accordance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner.
• Greets, welcomes, and invites guests back.
• Waits on all guests and serves food and beverages.
• Anticipates the needs and wants of guests.
• Uses product knowledge to up-sell and suggestive sell.
• Prepares drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
• Operates liquor dispensing system and cash register.
• Accounts for all cash, charge, and hosted sales.
• Maintains a neat, organized, stocked, and clean environment.
• Monitors guest consumption and responds according to TIPS training.
• Keeps the bar area stocked, cleaned, and ready for guests.
• Attends to service staff needing service at the bar.
• Completes any side-work, set-up, or closing duties as assigned.
• Maintains inventory control.
• Follows established departmental procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintains grooming and appearance according to specified policies.
• Attends all required meetings and completes training satisfactorily.
