The purpose of this position is to prepare, assemble, and install vehicle components to required specifications for Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Unit, and Finish departments. The role involves using and caring for personal protective equipment (PPE), reading and interpreting schematics and work orders, and utilizing basic hand tools and specialty equipment. Employees will learn to operate all equipment within the work area and perform rework as required. Support for Altec Production System (APS) initiatives is expected, and employees may participate in RCI events. Flexibility to move to other work areas to support production needs is necessary, along with the installation of unit vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories, testing of installed components, and maintaining safety, environmental, and quality standards.
