About The Position

F/A-18 Air Vehicle Technical Integration Project Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Global Services (BGS) F/A-18 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team is seeking an Air Vehicle Technical Integration Project Engineer to support the USN/USMC F/A-18 Sustainment Program in Hazelwood, MO. This position will be the primary technical integration focal for the USN/USMC F/A-18 customer and for Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) in support of the BGS F/A-18 Platform Chief Engineer and will report directly to the F/A-18 SEIT manager. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively team with Boeing IPTs, customers and suppliers. Position Responsibilities: Facilitate tasking and communication with Boeing, NAVAIR/PMA-265, NGC and the international technical integrators in support of F/A-18 program objectives Responsible for working directly with the Domestic F/A-18 customer to understand technical problems and develop solutions with the support of the Boeing engineering teams and major suppliers across the entire air vehicle Provide post- production sustaining engineering support for delivered aircraft and spares Managing and supplying weekly metrics/status for engineering technical directives, Complex Technical Requirements Documents (CTRDs), Integrated Product Support (IPS) sustainment engineering, change requirements and proposal efforts Cost Account Manager (CAM) activities, coordination of common tasking between domestic and international programs, management of engineering reach back requests, air vehicle technical coordination meeting (TCM) focal, support of the F/A-18 Platform Chief Engineer, and maintaining coordination with engineering teams, export administration and contracting groups Responsibilities for Northrop support include coordination and support of Structures and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), reviewing Northrop structural analysis to verify USN requirements are met, reviewing and drafting Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs), coordinating with Supplier Management, and facilitating communications with customers Ability to work onsite 5 days per week Ability to travel up to 10% in support of the F/A-18 program and customer may be required

Requirements

  • 9 or more years’ experience + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects or engineering teams
  • 3+ years of experience working with or on tactical aircraft

Nice To Haves

  • 9 or more years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience on F/A-18 or other tactical/military aircraft
  • Experience with composite structural analysis
  • Experience with export requirements
  • Experience with contracts and Statements of Work (SOWs)
