About The Position

You will be the F-35 Systems Engineer (Software) - Level 2 for the Fluid and Mechanical Systems Team which is responsible for advancing the F‑35 program’s hydraulic, landing‑gear, and fuel software capabilities. What You Will Be Doing As the F‑35 Systems Engineer (Software) - Level 2 you will be responsible for delivering high‑impact software updates, creating analytical tools, and ensuring the aircraft’s critical subsystems operate flawlessly. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience using MATLAB
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in software tool design and development
  • Background in aircraft software systems development
  • Understanding of hydraulic system mechanization
  • Knowledge of fuel system mechanization
  • Familiarity with landing gear mechanization concepts
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting state flow diagrams
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab and related tools
  • Working knowledge of JIRA for project and issue tracking
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Proficient in programming languages: C, C++, and Python
  • Familiarity with software requirements, standards, and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing system‑level logic changes to aircraft software applications.
  • Developing and maintaining MATLAB code for efficient database queries and analysis.
  • Providing software‑logic support for aircraft troubleshooting and root‑cause corrective action investigations.
  • Coordinating fuel‑software updates with suppliers and ensuring timely deployment.
